I just watched メイちゃんの執事 (Mei-Chan no Shitsuji)’s last episode (epi 10) and it rocks! There’s nothing better than a happy ending, and I simply love the ending! (especially the last 2 minutes) I was so crazy over it I watched it FIVE TIMES continuously. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway, dilemma time! This time its for enrollment into a uni, local u’s are definitely out, so I’m stuck in between two choices ; RMIT’s Communications, or MDIS, Oklahoma Uni’s Communications. RMIT’s 1 and a half years (school fees 13k+) , and it’s part time, which means I can find a full time job! So when I graduate, I have experience, and adegree together at the same time! But on the other hand, the course curriculum is more of writing and such, (think3537 research papers) and I’m not sure if that’s the way I want to go (I’m not very good with bombastic English terms)

On the other hand, MDIS’ Oklahoma Uni offers TV production and news production, which is something I’m keen at. But it’s 1.5 years, full time, and the school fees are 2x more expensive! (26k), which means I probably cant find a job, and I’m not sure if the degree’s recognised anyway. But the course details sound more interesting, with cross culture related subjects, and loads of PR/Advertising/Marketing yadda yadda.

So how! Part time, more affordable degree, but something I’m not very interested at, VS Full Time, a little tad more expensive, but something I might be keen at.. what now!

Headache ah headache. Somemore I have a Chinese Orchestra concert coming up next week, and I haven’t sold much tickets. We will be playing common tunes that everyone has heard of, so fret not of atas cheena-piang music. It could be the weather, or the end-of-school, no more last minute project rushing adrenaline rushing through me, or maybe it’s just the rainy weather, but I’m feeling utterly lazy nowadays. I can lie in bed and hear the pitter patter of the rain drowsing me to sleep continuously for the whole day, and wake up only when the sun sets. I’ve been doing that for the past week, and I seriously feel like a couch potato. I feel so lazy and relaxed, but there’s so many things I’ve always wanted to do. On the other hand, I feel alright in my comfort zone, and I can stay here all day and all night long.

Okay I’m rambling, better stop. Off to my drama craves again!

oh yah did I tell you I’m on this drama rampage! I’m currently watching Mei-Chan no Shitsuji and BOYS BEFORE FLOWERS (cue to go into gaga yaya papaya girlie squeals) but it gets damm irritating trying to watch the episodes and waiting every week for new ones to come out. lol! so I’m trying to look for completed dramas that

1. has a nice story line

2. actors/actresses are visually pleasing.

3. cinematography must be OKAY. the camera work and editing for Boys Before Flowers FAIL. Continuity is bad, colour correction not done, audio levels peaking, and like Tracy says, music anyhow pom one, but for the sake of the pretty boys and a whore for such impossible romance shows, I’ll put myself through the pain. HEE HEE.

Well this past week was a-okay, with celebrations of my birthday! Shall try my best to recap with my bad memory.
Saturday 28th Feb 09
Had my part time job in the morning, then headed down to Marina Square with my primary school classmates gathering. Had a scrimpy dinner at Breeks. I swear the I could have ordered the kids meal. (mental note not to go there anymore! My classmates were so sweet! They gave me a birthday present, a bigger bag from Miss Selfridge. Thank you! :* hehe
Walked around Marina Square after that, with a mini tour around the Creative Industries Fair. Wasn’t that fascinating as I thought it would be. Wanted to catch a show but with the impossible timings, we thought otherwise, and the rest decided to head to a pub or something. I went to Conrad Centennial to celebrate with Hong Min and family! The place is da fab, and the staff were friendly too (eh free publicity! hope they give me a free lunch or something) Had NYDC’s famous coffee cheesecake for my 1st 20th birthday cake. and went home at around 2.30am.

Sunday , 1st March 2009
I woke up late and met up with my beloveds Carol honey and her bf, Mango babi, 3 year old, Cass, Irene, Alan and Kenneth to head to the Icon for a chill out session (courtesy of Kenneth’s friend lol). I tell you, I’ve decided that my dream home is the Icon man! The place is like the woohoo. We went to the 31st floor of the apartment for a skinny dip. The jacuzzi there is shiok yo! Think of a cool rainy day, and soaking inside warm bubbly water. woo! lol.
Had some pizzas and attempted (read: attempt) to play SNOOPY Monopoly. I ate my favourite cake! (fyi its Guanaja cake from Rive Gauche) haha. HINT HINT AH!
After the chill out session, we headed to Game Haven at Safra Town, and while the rest played L4D, babi and I decided to embarass ourselves by playing wii. It was ultimate killer man! Both of us had sore arms and sore feet and were very tired. lol! The most xia suay thing was, while we were attempting to play wii Golf, we died trying to control the damm console, and were miserably putting the last hole and having great difficulty, nearly tearing the hair from our heads, trying to stop ourselves from smashing the wii when we tried for the past half an hour in the dam hole, when the Best Boyfriend of Mine simply took my console and aimed into the hole succesfully with just a small swing.

After that we went home, at around…2am? lol

2nd March (woo my 20th birthday! tee hee hee)
I woke up late again Went to Parkway to have dinner with the besties Ming Fong, Yuan Jian and Victor at Ichiban Sushi. They got me a cake with a Snoopy on top! haha. Dam cute of them!! After that Shuang Ying dropped by after work, and we made a din (as usual) in the restaurant.
Cabbed down to TP after that, and went for CO practice at 8.50 when practice ends at 9pm. (brilliant right me. lol). What surprised me was, when I opened the studio door, this big poster screamed at me. It was a photo of my playing the double bass, and the words “PRETTY” over it, like a magazine cover. lol! It was so so sweet, albeit embarassing, haha. To top it all, there was a real FHM (this month’s issue LOL), with a PRETTY picture of me over the cover page. lol.
As if this is not enough, my lovely friends of mine displayed the poster when we were having supper in the kopitiam opposite school, and sang my birthday song in front of the celebrated audience of the entire kopitiam. lol. Utter embarassment! lol. I think I grew about 5 inches thick of skin. We had the tradition after that, and I really really hope no picture of me gets circulated. lol. Went home at..11ish?

3rd March 09
I woke up late (think I can just copy paste that line) and went for my part time job.

4th March 09
I had work in the morning, and joined my coursemates Ah Bee, Tay C, Fari and Kel for a 7pm/8pm/8.30pm dinner at Crystal Jade in Taka. It was hilarious seeing Ah Bee’s gleaming face and Kelvin complaining that the rice krispies from the chicken is too SALTY. Headed to Coffee Club to chill, and I bought a mango peach smoothie, it’s not bad!(mental note #2: get that next time I head to Coffee Club), and they got me a SNOOPY plushie and SNOOPY coffee mug!! AHHHHH.haha. Thank you thank you!
By the time we left it was nearly 12. Thank Goodness everyone had transport home. I reached home, had a dosage of my daily dramas, and KOed at 5am.

So here I am! I’m stoning in work, and watching the dust settle on the counter. There’s so many things I want to do, but I don’t have the time! There’s work, driving lessons, lessons etc, and CO practices. SIAN!!

P.S. Where’s my movie date with Jie Lin Cloudie Tou tou Qiqi and gang?! >=( and the forever-postponed dinner with Donald! ROAR~ and my CYCNING night sexcapades!!

so here I am, taking a break from studying med law and blogging!

School’s out last week! That means the project craze is finally over, but the exam craze is replacing it. Terms and contracts and all that stupid jargon is all over my head. Can’t wait for Monday to come, then there’s goes my exam! But come to think of it, I’ll be having my advanced theory test on the day after that, so it doesn’t call for much celebration. lol

It’s been a week since school ended, and I’m already missing school. All the mad rushes for assignments, weird lunch hours/skipping lunch, stress over editing work, and the occasional shout/scream from stress, crazy schedules over loaning of equipment, I’m missing it all already!

I was reading Faridah’s blog, and it dawned on me on all the sweat/blood/money/sleepless nights/tears that we’ve shed. In just one sem, I’ve memorised the map of Lim Chu Kang in my fingertips, learned how to operate the camera using just 2 fingers, went around Singapore like never before, grew another 5 inhes thick of skin with the filming in Orchard Road,  learned to smile very sweetly to get interviews, smiled/cried/laughed/screamed/shouted like never before, and I’ve also learned to be honest with myself. 

Anyway, I’ve been facebooking alot lately (read: Pet Society), and I’m getting a new phone! (courtesy of THE BOYFRIEND!!) It’s a N85 and I can’t wait!

NICE RIGHT!!

It’s the phone of my dreams, the mobile of my destiny, calling out to me, screaming “GET ME!!!!!!” Okay you get the drift, and I can’t wait!

On the other hand, I’m having this teeeny nostalgic moment of missing my Prism though. Oh well! Old one don’t go, new one don’t come!

my lecturers are the best. this is the first time in my 3 years in poly life that I’ve realized how amazing my lecturers are.

Mrs Raimi, who has helped me in many ways. She has taught me to stand up for myself, and she has helped me seek clearance with many organisations for my filming of BJ news stories.

Miss Chee; who has helped me stick back my tape. She skipped her lunch and her open house duties just to help my group fix the tape for freaking 6 hours. Its with her help that I managed to stop myself from breaking down. 6 hours of her precious time!! Even though her eyesight’s not that good (that’s what she says, but I think her eyesight is excellent), she goes all out to help us fix the damaged tape, by looking at the small bits inside the dammed DVC PRO tape. She’s also spent time out of the curriculum to help us edit out scriptwriting assignments. kudos!!!!

Mr Guo!! haha how can I forget. Thanks for treating us like young adults, and for helping me install the 145656599 programmes in my macbook. Without them, I think I will die in Script/BJ/ATV. haha. thank you!!
Miss AKUMAran! Although I was never taught by you, I’ve realized how sweet you were when you helped me up outside scriptwriting lecture. thanks for making our lectures interesting with all the stories!

Alright, in life, it’s not good to be pessimistic all the time. So it’s about time that I start appreciating my lecturers and start thanking them! haha. Hope I can survive the remaining 5 weeks till graduation! eurghh..
